The Island Kitchen

This Schüller kitchen has been created in an open-plan layout for uninhibited views to the breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf waters from the serene family townhouse on Palm Jumeirah.

Kitchen Island:

The layout has been strategically created to maximize the corner space from the entryway to the dining. A giant island crowned with Sapienstone Pietra Grey has been created to accommodate the cooking with Siemen’s induction hob topped with Faber’s extractor hood, cleaning with Franke’s Fragranite sink in black and breakfast bar area in Old Oak Provence wood. The dark worktop material has been deliberately picked to create a dynamic contrast with the neutral cabinet door finish of Sea Shell White laminate. Under the island top, a mix of cabinets, open niche and drawers have been used to manage storage space.

The ‘tap that does it all’ Quooker black flex has been installed for filtered drinking water at regular, chilled and boiling temperature in addition to sparkling water. This incredible piece of technology makes cooking easier and assists in living in a more sustainable manner by the reduction of plastic bottles.

Tall Kitchen Cabinets:

A series of tall cabinets create an L-shaped storage space around the island. An array of appliances –  Liebherr wine cooler and Siemens oven, micro-combi-oven and 2 combi fridge freezer – have been integrated in the tall cabinets. A special 90cms black glass roller shutter with pull out shelf has been added as coffee niche. Multiple open shelves with integrated lighting have been fitted at the start point of the kitchen to offer display and storage space for the main entryway.

All in all, a superb German kitchen for a lovely family to grow into over the years.
